Nags Head
As the story goes, the nag had a lantern tied to its neck and would walk from the bottom to the top of the dunes and back down again to mimic a ship at sea! Surely the ocean-going ship would get too close to shore and wreck! Nags Head remains a favorite with many. Whether you want to play golf at the Village of Nags Head, hang glide, kayak, jet ski, fish, go cart, seafood festival in October, or fly a kite, this town is meant for summer families! Historic row oceanfront ceder- shake cottages harken to a time when staff was brought with owners. Aside from that, there are cottages, condos, co-ownerships, permanent as well as frequent rental homes in this area. The visitors here and within the lower beaches often can be seen vacationing in the November season as well. This content is currently unavailable.
